Carsen Edwards scored 36 points, Grady Eifert made the go-ahead free throws with 38 seconds left in overtime and Purdue outlasted host Wisconsin 84-80 Friday.
The Boilermakers (10-6, 3-2 Big Ten) did most of their damage from the foul line in overtime. They went only 17-for-30 from the line in the game, but that included 8-for-12 in OT.
Wisconsin came in averaging 9.1 turnovers, second best in the NCAA. But the Badgers (11-5, 3-2) committed 17 Friday, including two in a key OT stretch as they managed only a D'Mitrik Trice free throw over their last five possessions.
"You're going to have a bad time when you turn it over that much," Badgers coach Greg Gard said.
Ethan Happ scored 31 points for Wisconsin, which made it to OT thanks to some late heroics by Trice. Only 2-for-10 before the final stretch, he hit back-to-back threes in the final 30 seconds of regulation to tie the score.
Maryland 78, No. 22 Indiana 75: Bruno Fernando had a career-high 25 points and 13 rebounds, Anthony Cowan Jr. scored 24 and the host Terrapins (14-3, 5-1 Big Ten) rallied past the Hoosiers (12-4, 3-2) for their fifth consecutive victory.
Maryland used a 16-0 second-half run to take control after trailing by 14 early.
Romeo Langford scored 28 points and Juwan Morgan added 14 for Indiana.
