"This is just the beginning," Mark Andrew of Minneapolis said in a video posted on his Facebook page Wednesday after he was eliminated from "American Idol."
Andrew, 29, made it to the top 16 last week on the Fox show but failed to make the cut to be among the final dozen contestants.
A landscape foreman, Andrew had previously appeared on "The Voice."
On his Facebook post, he said the experience was "awesome" and included a link to a single.
