The bog is a very active place in the winter, particularly right now, in January. Here is a summary list.

 

Snowshoe Hike, Sunday Jan. 7, 9 a.m. to noon. Meet at the Welcome Center. Bring your own snowshoes or borrow a pair from the Welcome Center (Limited availability)! Please RSVP to Head Naturalist Clinton Nienhaus via email at naturalist@saxzim.org

 

Winter Tree ID, Sunday Jan. 7, 1 to 3 pm. Meet at the Welcome Center.

 

Campfire Program, Friday, Jan. 12, 2 to 4 p.m. Meet at the Welcome Center.

 

Winter Finches Field Trip, Saturday, Jan. 13, 9 a.m. to 2 p .m. Meet at the Welcome Center. Please RSVP to Head Naturalist Clinton Nienhaus via email at naturalist@saxzim.org

 

Tracking and Animal Sign, Saturday, Jan. 13, noon to 3 p.m. Meet at the Welcome Center.

 

Northern Owls Evening Program, Saturday, Jan. 13, 4 to 5 p.m. Meet at the Welcome Center with owl trip following until 9:00 pm.

 

Bog Ecology Snowshoe Hike, Sunday, Jan 14, 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at the Welcome Center.
