Mankato wins in Division II baseball

May 28, 2014 at 12:03PM

Bryce Bellin's five-hit complete game and a fifth-inning rally helped Minnesota State-Mankato to a 6-1 victory in the NCAA Division II baseball tournament in Cary, N.C.

A loss would have eliminated the Mavericks, who lost in Sunday's opening game, from the tournament.

Eric Peterson had three hits for Mankato, which has a rematch with Seton Hill at 6 p.m. tonight. Seton Hill defeated Minnesota State (46-10) to start the tournament.
