When, where: Rounds 1-2 at 2 p.m. Friday at Los Angeles Convention Center. Rounds 3-4 on Tuesday via 1 p.m. conference call.
Who is eligible: Mostly college seniors who have finished their NCAA eligibility. Also non-collegiate international players and Generation Adidas players, a program that fast-tracks those from high school or with remaining NCAA eligibility to the pro league. Clubs can also nominate players to the league's draft-eligible list.
Top pick: Minnesota United FC has the No. 1 overall pick of 22 teams, per a coin flip in October that saw fellow expansion team Atlanta United FC win the toss and opt for the first pick in December's expansion draft. The Loons will pick first again in Rounds 2 and 4. They traded their third-round selection to Colorado Rapids for defender Joseph Greenspan in December.
Minnesotans who could be drafted: Bloomington native Jackson Yueill, a Generation Adidas midfielder from UCLA, and Edina native Evan Panken, a midfielder from Notre Dame.
