Well, that was a fairly strange game to cover.
I've been covering this team for just over one season, and the first half I watched Sunday was, I think, the worst I've seen the Lynx play.
And then they come back from 16 down and beat the Sun in overtime?
In an Olympic Gold-medal-winning tag team, the Lynx got key contributions from Maya Moore, Seimone Augustus and Lindsay Whalen in a rather thrilling come-from-behind victory.
Here are some thoughts from the game:
--What a pro Lindsay Whalen is. After struggling mightily in regulation, Whalen scored 10 of Minnesota's 12 overtime points. It's amazing how she was able to shrug off a frustrating night and come through in the clutch.
--Another huge night for Maya Moore, who is averaging 33.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.0 steals through two games. It was her play that led the charge that got the Lynx back in the game.
--Seimone Augustus is still clutch, hitting that fall-away jumper to force overtime. Augustus has scored 42 points in two games.
