Tonight against the Seattle Storm, the Lynx will look to extend their league-best winning streak to nine games. The Lynx, whose 17-game home winning streak is the fourth longest in WNBA history, haven't lost a game since a July 2 matchup with the Los Angeles Sparks, a team now three and a half games back in second place in the West Conference.

The Lynx are tied for first in the league in average points per game (82.94), but coach Cheryl Reeve said it's what her team has done on the other side of the ball that's gotten it to where it is now in the standings.

"We've played some tremendous defense," Reeve said Sunday before the game. "We've really embraced how good we want to be there, and it's led to some easier offense for us."

Against the Storm especially, Reeve hopes the easy offense continues.

The Storm has been allowing opponents just 73.67 points per game, third fewest in the WNBA. The key to the Lynx's success could be getting the ball in the hands of Seimone Augustus, who shoots more than 53 percent from the floor (.532). A solid defense has helped the Lynx win eight games in a row, but Reeve said her team needs to focus on scoring to stretch the streak.

"Seattle is known to be a little stingy on defense, so we're hoping that we can play our game at our tempo and push the possessions towards 80 as opposed to 72 or 73," she said.
