Greetings. Youngblood here.

Wolves forward Kevin Love was named by USA Basketball as a member of the men's national team that will compete in the FIBA World Championship, which will be held Aug. 28-Sept. 12 in Istanbul, Turkey.

Love, one of 15 NBA players to average a double-double last season -- his second with the Wolves since being drafted out of UCLA -- is one of six players on the team who are 22 or younger.

"It's a tremendous honor to be named to the USA Basketball roster and have the opportunity to represent my country on an international stage," Love said via a release from the Timberwolves. "Expectations will be very high for this team and I look forward to doing everything I can to help the team bring back the gold from Turkey."

Also on the team: Chauncey Billups (Denver Nuggets), Tyson Chandler (Dallas), Stephen Curry (Golden State), Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City), Rudy Gay (Memphis), Eric Gordon (L.A. Clippers), Danny Granger (Indiana), Andre Iguodala (Philadelphia), Lamar Odom (L.A. Lakers), Derrick Rose (Chicago) and Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City).

The team will finish its exhibition schedule with a game against Greece tomorrow before heading to Istanbul on Thursday.
