One of two Minnesota lottery raffle winners has come forward to claim his $1 million prize.

Bernard Kiffmeyer, 71, of Kimball, Minn., notified lottery officials of his good fortune playing the annual New Year's Day game.

Kiffmeyer bought his ticket at SFP Liquors, 24086 Hwy. 15, St. Cloud. The store receives a $5,000 bonus from the Minnesota Lottery for the part it played.

The other million-dollar winner remains out there somewhere less than a week after the drawing was held. That ticket was sold at Leroy's Great Bear Tire & Auto, 9000 Lyndale Av. S., Bloomington.

A total of 700,000 tickets for the 15th annual Minnesota Millionaire Raffle went on sale Oct. 20 and were gone by Nov. 30, the fastest sellout yet.

More than 12,000 additional winning numbers were also announced, including five $100,000 prizes sold at the following locations: Center Mart, 1801 Main St., Centerville; Holiday, 410 10th Av. SE., Milaca; Holiday, 6210 109th Av. N., Champlin; KwikTrip, 105 2nd St. S., Sartell; and Noble Parkway Mobil, 9500 Noble Parkway, Brooklyn Park.

Winners who have yet to come forward have one year to do so or their windfall is forfeited to the state's general fund.

The raffle, begun in 2006, sells a limited number of tickets. Each ticket costs $10. Numbers are drawn to determine who wins cash prizes starting at $50.
