Local talent: SBG Designs There's something about Minnesota -- even when people leave, they tend to return to the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Such is the case with jewelry designer Sara Goldfine of SBG Designs (www.sbgdesigns.com). The Hopkins High School grad moved to Los Angeles in 2005, but will be back in the Twin Cities by January. She's already here for much of the summer, doing trunk shows in the next week.
Celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Brooke Shields and Samantha Harris have worn her jewelry, and her collection has been featured in In Style and Redbook magazines. Much of her latest work features vintage glass stones. "When they're gone, they're gone, but people have a one-of-a-kind piece that they're not going to see anywhere else," she said.
