The Detroit Lions lost starting center Frank Ragnow — a Chanhassen product and their 2018 first-round draft pick — and starting middle linebacker Jarrad Davis to injuries in Friday's 24-20 home loss to Buffalo.

Ragnow had to be helped off the field after appearing to hurt his right knee in the second quarter. Davis was carted off in the first quarter with an injured right leg. The Bills lost guard Quinton Spain (ankle) and cornerback Tre'Davious White (quad) to injuries.

Lions QB Matthew Stafford, in his first preseason game, was 12-for-19 for 137 yards and a touchdown.

Tampa Bay 13, Cleveland 12: Matt Gay kicked a 21-yard field goal with 15 seconds remaining for the host Buccaneers, who held the Browns to four Austin Seibert field goals.

Packers' Gary hurt

Green Bay lost three players — including first-round pick Rashan Gary — to injury in Thursday's loss to the Raiders in Winnipeg. The game was played on a field shortened to 80 yards.

Gary, a linebacker chosen No. 12 overall, said Friday that he was "well" after being carted to the locker room after injuring his neck in the first half. Receiver Equanimeous St. Brown injured an ankle after getting a foot caught in the turf and is expected to miss the first month of the season, the team said. Curtis Bolton was on crutches after suffering a knee injury, a blow to a linebacking corps that already has lost second-year starter Oren Burks to a pectoral injury.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur held 33 players — including quarterback Aaron Rodgers — out of the game as a precaution.

Etc.

• Seattle wide receiver David Moore will miss the start of the regular season after suffering a shoulder injury in practice, the team said. Moore made 26 catches for 445 yards and five touchdowns last season.
