Life in the safe lane

Life in the safe lane If there were any justice in the world, the new game show "Duel" (11:35p.m., KSTP, Ch. 5) would have contestants being chased down by a demonic truck, a nod to the early Steven Spielberg film. Instead, two dozen contestants compete through trivia questions. Wimps.

Amazing (g)race "Clash of the Choirs" (7 p.m., KARE, Ch. 11) is set to determine America's most heavenly singers over the next four nights with the help of Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle, Nick Lachey, Kelly Rowland and Blake Shelton. Winners get a free pass through the pearly gates.

We will rock you If God created the world in seven days, then why can't TV cover rock in the same time? "Seven Ages of Rock" (8 p.m., VH1 Classic) tackles all shapes and forms of the pop genre with Mr. Rock 'N' Roll himself, Dennis Hopper, starting with a chapter that focuses on the late '60s.
