Letter of the day: Video on Red Bull band was music to her ears (and eyes)

I just want to say "Kudos!" to Kyndell Harkness for her video piece on the 34th Red Bull Infantry Division band. I came across the video as part of my job gathering stories in the civilian media about units that will be going through pre-mobilization training at one of our First Army Division West brigades -- in this case, the 191st Infantry Brigade at Fort Lewis, Wash. Harkness did a wonderful job capturing the "citizen-soldier" spirit and attitude of these musicians, who now are putting on their helmets for an overseas tour that just happens to be in a combat theater. Rest assured the band members -- and everyone in the 34th Infantry Division -- will receive the finest training available to prepare them for their deployment. Keep up the GREAT work, Ms. Harkness!
