One of travel's great joys is seeing, hearing, tasting and smelling new and different things.
How sad that on their just-concluded visit the Norwegian royalty might have thought they had never left home.

By contrast, in 1939 when the British king and queen visited the United States, FDR threw them an all-American picnic -- burgers and hot dogs -- at his Hyde Park home.
Next time royalty visits -- from whatever realm -- let's serve them Minnesota's own Juicy Lucys, booya, walleye, and wild rice washed down with a frosty Surly or Summit.
