Although I understand the desire of the Edina couple to enhance their garden by picking up interesting rocks along rural roadways, it's important to note that sometimes the "interesting rocks" people take are from someone's private property ("Over 34 years, an Edina couple transformed their plain back yard into a hidden garden oasis," July 11). Rocks on my parents' property in rural Minnesota that our family lovingly placed around our pet cemetery were taken. Some people wrongly seem to think that the rocks they "find" on private, rural property are free for the taking.
