Horford leads Hawks over Cavs
ATLANTA– Al Horford scored 19 points and Kyle Korver hit two big three-pointers in the fourth quarter after struggling much of the night, leading the Hawks to a 106-97 victory over the Cavaliers on Friday night in a game could be a playoff preview.
Clearly inspired on night when Hall of Famer and former Hawks star Dominique Wilkins was honored by the team, the Hawks responded. Al Horford scored 19 points, five of his teammates were in double figures, and Kyle Korver hit two big three-pointers in the fourth quarter after struggling much of the night.
LeBron James was held to 18 points on 5-of-13 shooting and Kevin Love had 14 points and eight rebounds.
•CELTICS WIN AGAIN: Isaiah Thomas 27 points and Boston won for the fifth time in seven games, 104-98 over New Orleans.
•PACERS TOP BULLS: Solomon Hill scored 16 points and Ian Mahinmi had a season-high 14 points in Indiana's 98-84 victory over Chicago.
•BIG AL RESPONDS: Al Jefferson had 23 points and 13 rebounds and Charlotte beat Toronto 103-94 in a game that had six technical fouls. Mo Williams added 23 points, and Lance Stephenson had 11 points and eight rebounds to help Charlotte win its fourth straight.
•MAGIC STOPS KINGS: Victor Oladipo had 32 points, 10 assists and five steals and Orlando held on to beat Sacramento 119-114. Channing Frye added 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Elfrid Payton had 10 points and 12 assists to help the Magic snap a four-game losing streak.
•WIZARDS HOLD OFF HEAT: Nene scored 20 points, Marcin Gorat added 14 points and 17 rebounds and Washington blew all but one point of a 35-point lead before holding off short-handed Miami 99-97.
•ALL THAT JAZZ: Gordon Hayward scored 25 points to lead Utah past Philadelphia 89-83. Derrick Favors had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Utah. The Jazz has won eight of 11. Isaiah Canaan scored 16 points for the 76ers, who have the second-worst record in the NBA at 13-49.
•SPURS DOWN NUGGETS: Kawhi Leonard had 25 points and Tony Parker added 24 as San Antonio survived a wild offensive pace to beat Denver 120-111 for its fourth consecutve victory. Tim Duncan added 15 points for San Antonio.
•SUNS DENY NETS: Marcus Morris made the tiebreaking basket and scored 19 points, twin brother Markieff Morris and Eric Bledsoe also had 19, and the Suns beat the Nets 108-100 in overtime.
•HARDEN GETS TRIPLE: James Harden had 38 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists for his third triple-double this season and the Rockets stopped a two-game skid with a 103-93 win over the Pistons.
•GRIZZ RALLY TO BEAT LAKERS: Zach Randolph had 24 points and 13 rebounds, Marc Gasol scored nine of his 18 in the fourth quarter and the Grizzlies rallied for a 97-90 victory over the Lakers.
