How much snow the storm produces is academic. The absolute worst aspect of thestorm is the severity of the blowing and drifting. Believe me, that's reallygoing to be bad whether there is 4 or 5 inches of snow or over a foot. Theswirling and falling snow will create whiteout conditions, which meansvisibility will be under 100 feet at times. If you live in a rural developmentwhere homes are relatively close, picture your neighbor's house completelydisappearing. Now that's what you call a blizzard. The heaviest snow from this storm will be from eastern Nebraska throughsouthwestern Minnesota and eastern South Dakota. However, the area that willget a disruptive snowfall with plenty of blowing drifting is much moreextensive, stretching from the Dakotas to Oklahoma.
