Large study initiated on penile implants

American Medical Systems leading the charge

OK, so there's only one way to write this bit, and that's straight.

American Medical Systems, the Minnetonka-based purveyor of products promoting "pelvic health," said today it is launching a major registry across the globe that will track "penile prosthetic outcomes."

The study will enroll more than 1,000 men diagnosed with erectile dysfunction for whom an AMS penile prosthesis is recommended. The idea is to better understand how the device works in real-world patients.

The name of the study is PROPPER.

That's short for Prospective Registry of Outcomes with Penile Prosthesis for Erectile Restoration. PROPPER, get it?
