Mikko Koivu had a separated left shoulder and is expected to miss four to six weeks, NHL sources have told our Michael Russo.

Coach Mike Yeo said at practice today that Koivu, injured in St. Louis on Saturday, has an "upper-body" injury and is officially "week to week."

Koivu was named to the All-Star Game, which is Jan. 29 in Ottawa, but the Wild captain and leading scorer obviously will not play in that game.

Yeo put the Wild through an intense practice today, and the players' fathers are starting to gather for a father-son road trip that will take them to Philadelphia tomorrow and Toronto on Thursday.

No decision yet on who the Wild will call up to replace Koivu.

As Russo said this morning, a trade is likely and speculation is rampant. See this post for that speculation.

I'll have more after practice and access is wrapped up.
