Good morning, commuters!

It's that time of year when motorists will run into short-term road construction and repair projects that bring lane closures and delays.

We've got a few of them coming up today. The good thing is that none will impact the morning rush hour.

The first begins at 9:30 a.m. today on southbound I-35E. One lane will be closed for tree removal from I-94 to Kellogg Blvd. in St. Paul.

Motorists tonight could face delays on northbound I-35W. Two lanes on will be closed starting at 9:30 p.m. for guard rail repair from around Park Avenue up to Hiawatha Avenue. The ramps to Washington Avenue/3rd Street and frm eastbound 94 to northbound 35W will be closed, too.

Up in Brooklyn Center, the right lane of westbound I-694 will be blocked from 7 tonight until about 4 a.m. Thursday for overnight construction work.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
