Good morning, commuters!

The drive to work should not be as tedious as the ride home Tuesday night, but do plan on spending extra time on the roads.

A thin layer of snow still remains on some highways, and side streets and secondary roads are still slippery. That has been evident by a few spinouts earlier this morning. At the moment, the State Patrol is handling a crash blocking the left lane on eastbound I-94 around 49th Avenue in north Minneapolis.

I’ll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
