Keeping tabs on Tuesday's morning commute

Good morning, commuters!

A couple of early sprinkles and maybe even some showers this morning, but nothing that should have any huge impact on the morning commute.

Road work, however, might. Big changes are in store on Hwy. 100 this week. MnDOT is doing prep work for a lane shift that is supposed to be put in place tonight. That will affect traffic between Cedar Lake Road and 36th Street.

MnDOT also is doing lots of work on I-35E between Little Canada Road and downtown St. Paul. MnDOT is currently in the process of picking up cones on the northbound lanes so look out for the flashing lights around Larpenteur Avenue.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
