Keeping tabs on Thursday's morning commute

Keep your guard up. Bridge decks and ramps along with secondary roads could have isolated slick spots with freezing rain and mist falling at this hour.

Good morning, commuters!

Watch your step as you head out this morning as sidewalks and steps could be slippery. A freezing rain advisory is in effect as temperatures right around the 32-degree mark. A freezing rain advisory is in effect and some drizzle and snow are possible this morning, the Nationial Weather Service said.

So far that is not causing any problems on the roads, but keep your guard up. Bridge decks and ramps along with secondary roads could have isolated slick spots.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
