Good morning, commuters!

We kick off another work week with light levels of traffic and light levels of fog in parts of the metro area, but it could be a lot worse. By later today, word is that the elusive golden orb will once again be visible in the sky once the clouds and fog dissipates.

Here is a note for later tonight: Eastbound I-394 will be closed from Hwy. 169 to I-94 for road maintenance from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Starting at 9 a.m. today, southbound Hwy. 169 will be a single lane from 101st Avenue N. to 77th Avenue N. in Brooklyn Park. The lane closures will be in place weekdays until 5 p.m.

I will be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I could use your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, leave a comment here e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
