Good morning, commuters!

The State Patrol is trying to stop a vehicle reported to be traveling the wrong way on eastbound I-694 in the vicinity of Silver Lake Road in New Brighton. Let's hope they stop this driver before anything serious happens. Nearly 400 people die each year from wrong-way driving, according to the National Transportation Safety Board.

Up in Lino Lakes, a pedestrain was walking in the northbound lanes of I-35W just south of the Forest Lake Split.

Traffic wise, levels are light at this time of the day. Be prepared for delays a bit later in the rush in the work zone along Hwy. 5/W. 7th Street in St. Paul, Hwy. 100 in St. Louis Park and along I-494 in Plymouth and Maple Grove.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
