It wasn't always perfect, but the Wolves did what they had to do Saturday, with a wire-to-wire victory over the horrible Brooklyn Nets at Target Center.

Karl-Anthony Towns felt horrible, but played very well, scoring 37 points with 13 rebounds and four blocks. Towns had a very bad cold that had him on the verge of not playing in the game; he stayed behind in the training room sleeping as his teammates warmed up for the game. But he played, and he and all four of his fellow starters scored in double figures in what ended up being a one-sided game.

Here are some notes on the game:

--The 129 points the Wolves scored was a season high, four better than the 125 they scored twice.

--Towns had his ninth 30-point game of the season, and his eighth with 30 points and 10 rebounds. He has consecutive 30-point games for the third time this season.

--Zach LaVine's shooting slump is officially over. He made six of 11 shots overall and half of his six three-point attempts while scoring 20 points.

--Shabazz Muhammad had 18 points off the bench tonight. In his last 10 games, he is averaging 12.2 points and has hit 13 of his 23 three-pointers.

--Ricky Rubio, battling foul trouble tonight, played 22 minutes. But he scored 14 points – 12 in the fourth quarter – and is averaging 10.8 points and 11.4 assists over his last nine games.
