JUCO tackle Jimmie Terry commits to Gophers

The Gophers continue to load up on junior college offensive linemen. Tackle Jimmie Terry (6-4, 330) started his college career at Louisville.

The Gophers landed another junior college lineman Monday, when Jimmie Terry, an offensive tackle from Tyler (Texas) Junior College, announced his verbal commitment.

The 6-4, 330-pound Terry is a consensus three-star recruit who began his college career at Louisville before transferring to junior college with plans to land with another major college program. He also had reported offers from East Carolina and Southern Miss.

Terry is the Gophers' 16th commitment for the Class of 2017. That list includes two other potential junior college transfers – quarterback Neil McLaurin and safety Jaquarius Landrews.

The Gophers signed three junior college offensive linemen in their 2016 class – Vincent Calhoun, Garrison Wright and Donnell Greene – and all three have played starting roles this season.
