MONTREAL — Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France has withdrawn from the Rogers Cup tennis tournament due to a knee injury.
The eighth-ranked Tsonga hasn't played since June 26 when he was forced to drop out of his second-round match at Wimbledon. He says he needs more rehab on his left knee and hopes to be ready for the U.S. Open next month.
The main draw in the men's edition of the Rogers Cup starts Monday in Montreal. The women's Rogers Cup goes next week in Toronto.
