Nick Foles is headed to Jacksonville. The former Eagles quarterback agreed to sign a four-year, $88 million contract with the Jaguars on Monday.
The deal includes $50.125 million guaranteed and could be worth up to $102 million with incentives as he replaces Blake Bortles, who threw 103 touchdown passes in five seasons but was known more for inaccuracy and inconsistency that led to Jacksonville's offensive instability.
Lions get Coleman, Amendola
The Lions will add former Patriots cornerback Justin Coleman and receiver Danny Amendola.
Amendola, who agreed to a $5.75 million, one-year contract, spent last season with the Dolphins and played the five years before that with the Patriots, where current Lions head coach Matt Patricia was the defensive coordinator. The 33-year-old has 485 catches in his 10-year career, but has never had more than 689 yards receiving in a season. Coleman agreed to a $36 million, four-year contract. He began his career with the Patriots in 2015 and was a nickel cornerback the past two seasons for the Seahawks.
... The NFL Network also reported that the Lions agreed to sign former Steelers tight end Jesse James and they reportedly are close to signing Patriots defensive end Trey Flowers to a five-year deal, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Raiders pay big for Brown
The Raiders agreed to sign free agent offensive tackle Trent Brown to a four-year deal worth a record $66 million. Brown will receive $36.75 million guaranteed in the richest contract ever for an offensive lineman.
According to Pro Football Focus, Raiders tackles allowed 30 sacks last season. Brown gave up just three with New England.
