Is it over yet?: Spurs 133, Wolves 111

One game to go

April 13, 2010 at 5:46AM

Can you believe it?

Just one game to go.

Mercy.

A season that started way back in September in Mankato ends Wednesday at home against Detroit, and not a moment too soon.

Tonight, the Spurs led by as many 30, had five bench players score in double figures and scored 133.

The Wolves have given up 120 or more points in 15 games this season./

Just a few tidbits from tonight:

* Kevin Love was out there in garbage time -- why? good question -- and hurt his thumb with about two minutes to go and left the game. He was out of the locker room room quickly and I didn't get a chance to talk to him afterward.

* Jonny Flynn left the game with about eight minutes to go with a hip flexor and was clearly in pain after the game, with his left hip wrapped with ice.

He has played all 81 games so far, but if I had to bet, he won't make it 82 for 82. He said afterward that his health is more important than playing every game his rookie season and he said the hip has bothered him much of the season.

* After watching little-used Spurs center Ian Mahinmi scored 14 points with seven rebounds before he fouled out in less than 20 minutes, let me ask this: Who'd you rather have, him or Ryan Hollins, on your team?

Anyway, that's all I got (other than an all-too-early flight in the morning).

Here's the game story from tonight:

The Gophers played with more urgency, but it wasn’t enough to keep them from another conference sweep, and they lost LJ Mooney to injury in the process.
