1:30Minnesota nice. It really is a thing. Everywhere you go in our state, you find people trying to make our home a better place. That includes Minnesota’s businesses. Many of them make improving their community a core part of their mission.
But they are Minnesota businesses - run by Minnesotans! True to our culture, many of them are reluctant to share the good work that they do.
We created MN RISING as a place for businesses to share what they do for our community. In part, it’s a good place for businesses to exchange ideas about how they can do more good.
In part, we created it because we think everyone could benefit from hearing more good news these days.
For example, did you know that the Science Museum of Minnesota maintains a collection of over 2-million artifacts from our state so that they are available to future scientists?
Or that that the University of St. Thomas routinely hosts an event series called Finding Forward that fosters constructive conversation about important issues?

I’ll admit it. I didn’t know any of those things. Now that I do, I feel better about where I live. I feel prouder of where I live.
