A man being held in the St. Louis County jail was found dead in his cell Monday.
Jack Dale Price, 50, of Ely, Minn., was found unresponsive about 1:45 p.m. by a corrections officer making rounds at the jail in Virginia, said Sgt. Steve Borchers. Efforts by medical personnel to revive him were unsuccessful.
Price was being held on suspicion of domestic assault by police in Ely.
Foul play is not suspected in Price’s death, Borchers said. The Sheriff’s Office and the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating.
