Injured Love stays home from Dallas-OKC trip

Love out, Randolph into starting lineup

That groin injury is keeping Kevin Love home from a two-game trip to Dallas and Oklahoma City.

While all his teammates rushed out of practice this afternoon to get through the snow to the airport, Love stayed behind on the court for a chat and some casual shooting with Kurt Rambis.

He watched the end of practice with an ice bag held to his upper left thigh, an injury he says he first sustained last week in Utah.

Love's injury will provide opportunity for Anthony Randolph, who Rambis says will start in Love's place against the Mavs Thursday night in Dallas.

Love won't have to worry about that NBA rebounding title -- his 15.4 rebounds leads runnerup Dwight Howard's 14.3 a game -- if the injury lingers.

He already has reached one of two minimums to qualify: 70 games or 800 rebounds.

He needs just 44 rebounds -- or about two more games -- to surpass Kevin Garnett's franchise record for most rebounds in a season.

KG had 1139 during that 2003-04 MVP season.
