Icehouse residencies

Mondays and Wednesdays: Eat Street's resident supper club is expanding its well received, carefully distanced outdoor live music setup with monthlong residencies by two celebrated Twin Cities instrumentalists. Jazz pianist and part-time rocker Bryan Nichols is holding down Mondays in August with two sets each night and guests this week including Davu Seru and Erik Fratzke. Cellist Michelle Kinney — co-founder of Jelloslave and a mainstay of the local dance, theater and rock scenes — will welcome Tarek Abdelqader, Leila Awadallah and other guests for her Wednesday sets. (7 & 8:30 p.m. Mon., Wed. Icehouse, 2518 Nicollet Av. S., Mpls. $12; icehousempls.com.)
