After two rounds in the arena, Jennifer Lawrence is ready to come at the Capitol head-on in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1," the first of Lionsgate's two part finale of the blockbuster YA franchise.
After surviving the Hunger Games along with Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) and then a special 25th anniversary edition of the Games featuring all previous victors,Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen steps into yet more uncharted territory in her latest outing.
In "Mockingjay," hitting theaters Friday, it's all out war now between Donald Sutherland's President Snow's opulent, oppressive ruling class and the 12 Districts he has under his thumb, with Katniss now reluctantly stepping into the role of being the face of the revolution.
Waking up in District 13 at the end of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," Katniss is set to meet a whole new cast of supporting characters, most of whom will be new allies in the fight against Snow's regime.
Joining her faithful best friend Gale (Liam Hemsworth), former mentor Haymitch (Woody Harrelson) and chaperone Effie (Elizabeth Banks), below are the six new faces to the franchise who will be aiding Katniss in her latest adventure.
The character: Alma Coin
The leader of the rebellion and District 13, President Coin isn't shy about her desire to utilize Katniss as a propaganda tool in various videos, not unlike the way the Capitol is utilizing Peeta to further their own cause.
The actor: Julianne Moore
One of the most respected actresses working in Hollywood, Moore is going to have a very good fall/winter thanks to "Mockingjay" and a small indie drama called "Still Alice," which may just lead Moore to her first Oscar win.
