With lightning in the Athens area, the Bulldogs defeated the Warhawks in a one-sided game that was called off with 9:54 left in the fourth quarter. A few minutes after Georgia scored its final touchdown, coach Mark Richt walked over to the officials to discuss game conditions, and the decision was made to end it. There was a 76-minute lightning delay in the third quarter, and more lightning was in the vicinity when the game ended. Nick Chubb and Keith Marshall each ran for two touchdowns for the Bulldogs.

The result: An incredibly lopsided victory over UT Martin that produced the most points in a game for the program since 1935. The Rebels finished with 662 total yards.
