The oil boom there has brought in 6,000 job seekers, though in the past year only about 2,000 new housing units have been built, CNN reported. Many Williston hotels have contracted with oil companies for rooms, leaving little availability for travelers.

Philly's Mint opens new tour after face-liftThe U.S. Mint at Philadelphia just opened a new tour after a $3.9 million renovation. The exhibit includes artifacts from the beginnings of the Mint, a multimedia display depicting the establishment of the first Mint, rare coins and collector pieces. Artifacts include the Mint deed signed by President Andrew Jackson, and examples of damaged coins that never entered circulation. The tour is free to the public. 'Dallas' reboot attracts tourists to SouthforkSince the Ewings returned to the small screen, Southfork Ranch has struck a gusher -- in tourism. The iconic 347-acre ranch in Parker, Texas, has seen almost a threefold increase in the number of weekend visitors since the June 13 debut of the "Dallas" reboot.
