The company is recalling Soleil portable fan heaters with the model number LH-707. The CPSC says Home Depot has received reports of 464 fans melting, but no injuries or property damage have been reported. The circular table fans were sold at Home Depot stores around the country from September 2012 to May 2013, and they cost about $15 each.
The fan heaters are about 8 inches in diameter by 8.5 inches tall. They were made by Shanghai Limach Manufacturing of China.
The agency says consumers should stop using the fans immediately and return them to Home Depot for a full refund.
