Schooner Tavern rocks once again

Despite being hit hard in the rioting along E. Lake Street in late May — which actually just added incentive to reopen — the historic Schooner is also now one of the first music venues to begin hosting live bands again. Its biweekly schedule continues Friday with hard-rocking blues trio the Craig Clark Band, followed by Southern-y groovers the Everett Smithson Band on Wednesday. Upcoming dates include the Robb Henry Trio (July 15), Jiggs Lee's Invasion (July 17), Tumbling Dice (July 24) and Ross William Perry (July 27). All shows are first-come, first-served with reduced capacity per state COVID-19 guidelines, and for now entry is through the side door while repairs continue out front. (All shows 7 p.m., no cover, 2901 27th Av. S., Mpls., 612-729-4365)
