Christian Yelich came off the disabled list and was back in left field Tuesday. For the first time Giancarlo Stanton put a target on his return, saying he is about 10 days away from being back in the lineup.
That means the Marlins could have their so-called "Best Young Outfield in Baseball" back together for the Labor Day Weekend series against the Mets at Marlins Park. Nearly five months into the season, outfielders Stanton, Yelich and Marcell Ozuna have been together in the lineup for 44 games.
"If we can get these guys together and have month of health," Marlins manager Dan Jennings said, "it will be some fun and maybe we can be a spoiler in some ways."
