Hello, Miami: Wolves at Heat Tuesday night

Wolves work out Monday afternoon at Heat's practice court, looking to end six-game losing streak Tuesday

If I had more guts, I would have taken the charge.

Wolves players fairly stampeded for the gym doors after practice in Miami late this afternoon.

They wasted no time to take advantage of the rest of the day -- and night, of course -- after they flew to South Florida at 9 a.m. and practiced at American Airlines Arena rather than the usual practice-fly schedule at home.

The Wolves worked out a little less than 90 minutes the day after their 100-94 home loss to Oklahoma City, their sixth straight.

On Monday, newly acquired Darko Milicic was upright and looked fine after he surprisingly played 19 minutes and was a plus-35 -- the highest plus-minus rating by a Wolves player since Kevin Garnett and Trenton Hassell were a plus-36 in the same game five seasons ago -- in his Wolves debut.

"He's feeling good," Wolves coach Kurt Rambis said. "He's looking good."

While most of the Wolves players bolted for the bus after practice ended, Jonny Flynn and Al Jefferson -- a minus-37 on Sunday, only 72 points away from Milicic's plus-35 -- stayed late for a little work. Jefferson was out on the court talking for several minutes with Rambis and assistant coach Dave Wohl.

Dwyane Wade is listed as a day-to-day decision because of a calf injury that has sidelined him for the Heat's past two games.

He worked out Monday, said he felt better, but it's not known yet whether he'll play Tuesday against the Wolves, who begin a three-game trip that takes them to Atlanta Wednesday and Oklahoma City Friday.

The Wolves didn’t appear engaged at either end of the floor and lost for the third time in four games.
