Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama

Henry followed up his 46-carry, 217-yard effort in the Iron Bowl victory over Auburn last week by rushing 44 times for 189 yards and a TD in the SEC title game victory over Florida. He has 1,986 rushing yards and 23 TDs on the season.

Christian McCaffrey, RB, Stanford: Led Cardinal to Pac-12 title win over USC by amassing 461 all-purpose yards (27 rushing, 105 receiving, 149 in returns) and rushing and passing for a TD. He has an NCAA-record 3,496 all-purpose yards this season, including 1,847 rushing.

Positioning for third

Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma: Finished season with 3,389 passing yards and 35 TDs. Also rushed for seven TDs.

DeShaun Watson, QB, Clemson: Passed for 389 yards and three TDs and rushed for 131 yards and two TDs in ACC title game. Has passed for 3,512 yards and 30 TDs and rushed for 11 TDs.

Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State: Finished season with 1,672 rushing yards and 19 TDs.

Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU: Faded with a 19-carry, 31-yard effort against Alabama. Still, 1,741 yards, 18 TDs.
