Hanson, Willock take Stage 5 of Nature Valley Grand Prix

Ken Hanson won the Stage 5 men's race at the Nature Valley Grand Prix bicycle race in Menomonie, Wis., on Saturday, while Scott Zwizanski retained his overall lead.

Erinne Willock beat out Linda Melanie Villumsen to win the women's race. Villumsen did earn enough points to take the overall lead from Shelley Evans.

The sixth and final stage of the Grand Prix is Sunday in Stillwater. The women begin at noon, the men at 1:30 p.m. on the top of Chilkoot Hill.

Dungey wins again Belle Plaine's Ryan Dungey won his third consecutive 450 Class race at the AMA Pro Motocross event from Budds Creek Motocross Park in Mechanicsville, Md. on Saturday.

Dungey, the current 450 Class points leader, carried a four-moto win streak into Budds Creek but had to settle for third in Moto 1 behind Andrew Short and Mike Alessi after an early crash. In Moto 2, Dungey, a Suzuki rider, bounced back with a strong start.

Etc. • St. Paul Saints pitchers gave up five home runs, including three in a row in the second inning, in a 9-1 loss at Sioux Falls on Saturday. The first four homers were hit off Saints starter Jake Schmidt.

• The Portland Timbers defeated the NSC Minnesota Stars 2-0 at the National Sports Center. The loss ended a four-match unbeaten streak for the Stars, who had won at Portland 1-0 on Thursday.
