Besides being a co-host on FM 107's Get Real Girls she is also busy writing blogs. I've been enjoying all of her sales tips and ideas at one of her blog's here My Sweet Angel Pie: Sweet Stuff for Spirited Kids
Read on for some hand made gift ideas from Liv.
(and I apologize for not posting earlier - some of these take awhile to personalize and/or ship)
Ever feel like the whole world's made of plastic? It's colorful, durable and cheap – all good qualities, especially when it comes to toys. But there's something so special and sweet about handmade gifts for children. Maybe kids sense the crafters' and artists' creative energy. Perhaps they feel drawn to the natural woods and fabrics. Or maybe it's the whimsy and wonder captured in so many home-spun designs. Whatever the reason, children tend to adore and save their handmade treasures. Here are a few current favorites, still available for the holidays.
A Box of ABC's @ MiChiMa's Etsy Shop Cost: $33.00
I love this box of colorful, lowercase felt letters because they're festive and easy for little hands to manipulate. The box contains all 26 letters in the alphabet. You can also order magnetic versions (a fun alternative to plastic refrigerator letters) and other fabulous felt designs from this artist's Etsy web site. Order by Dec. 14th! Personalized Giant Ball @ Craftsbury Kids Cost: $39.95
Every big fleece ball is one-of-a kind, not only because your child's name can be put on it, but because the artists use different colors and patterns for each one! These take 1-2 weeks to customize. Paige the Penguin @ Oopma
Cost: $16.99 This sweet and soft bird, handmade in Vietnam, features colorful cloth fabric and embroidered eyes. She's overstuffed with polyester filling so she'll stand up on her own! Wooden Train Set @ Our Green House Cost: $99.00
This natural wood train set features a locomotive and three adjoining cars. One carries logs, the next is open for "creative filling" and the caboose has a sliding door. The maple, cherry and walnut wood is finished with a natural beeswax. Beautiful craftsmanship! Liv Lane's other blogs can be found below - Choosing Beauty Website One Year of Beauty Blog
