Morning from gorgeous Denver, where the Wild visits the Avalanche tonight.

The Wild has won three of its past 20 road games. Two have come here inside the Pepsi Center. Matt Hackett will get his second consecutive start in goal and third of his career.

This will be his seventh appearance of the season. He is 2-1 with a 0.96 goals against average and .971 save percentage.

Looked like Stephane Veilleux will skate with Matt Cullen and Devin Setoguchi. Nick Palmieri, who missed last game with an upper-body injury, skated on the right side with Cal Clutterbuck and Darroll Powe.

Up front, somebody is sick. Coach Mike Yeo won't say who. If that player can't play, Erik Christensen will. If he does, Christensen is scratched.

So the lines above may mean nothing because they can all be changed if said player doesn't play. Kapeesh?

Kurtis Foster, scratched last game, is in for injured Justin Falk and skated with Nate Prosser. Steve Downie may return for Colorado if cleared by the docs.

Semyon Varlamov, who made 30 saves in a shutout of the Wild on Sunday, will start.

Prospect Jason Zucker is attending the game. The Wild never lose when he comes to games. Of course, they're 10-1-2 in its past 13 here.
