Cory Wong

Fri.-Sat.: After a busy 2019 playing everywhere from Red Rocks to Madison Square Garden to his regular TV stint in Stephen Colbert’s late-night house band, Twin Cities-based funk-pop guitar maestro Cory Wong (of Vulfpeck fame) will finally get to let his infectious energy loose with a four-pack of hometown, outdoor drive-in concerts. He’ll have Prince’s NPG-era blowers the Hornheads and bassist Sonny Thompson along for the ride and a new acoustic album, “Trail Songs: Dusk,” though these shows will be all electric, and then some. (5 & 8 p.m. Fri.-Sat. Crooners, Fridley. $40, croonersloungemn.com.)
