It might take a few more days to test the machine and prepare the labels, but Forager Brewery in Rochester, Minn., will soon have growlers for sale as late as 10 p.m., said Forager's brewmaster Austin Jezne.

The month-old brewery joins other Rochester brewers who will take advantage of a change to city ordinance that went into effect Oct. 2 allowing sales of growlers until 10 p.m.

Donovan Seitz, lead brewmaster and owner of Kinney Creek Brewery, said he plans to change his taproom's hours next week to take advantage of the new growler rule.

"It gives us about 11 more hours of sellable time," he said.

The new ordinance replaces the 8 p.m. off-sale end time and brings Rochester in line with most other Minnesota cities.
