Men's favorites: Dominic Ondoro, 26, Kenya, personal best 2:08:00; Nick Arciniaga, 30, Flagstaff, Ariz., 2:11:30; Daniel Aschenik, 31, Ethiopia, 2:10:54; Eliud Ngetich, 20, Kenya, 2:12:00; Abraham Chelanga, 29, Kenya, 2:08:43.

Women's favorites: Defending champion Sarah Kiptoo, 24, Kenya, 2:26:32; Doreen Kitaka, 30, Kenya, 2:30:21; Serkalem Abrha, 27, Ethiopia, 2:32:06; Atalelech Asfaw, 31, Albuquerque, N.M., 2:33:56.
