Minnesota will travel to Duke to play in the Big Ten/Atlantic Coast Conference women's basketball challenge on Dec. 3.

Duke advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 in March, the fifth time in six seasons that the Blue Devils advanced that far in the tournament. Duke finished the season 23-11.

Duke lost to Maryland in the NCAA tournament; Minnesota lost to DePaul in the first round.

The only other time the teams met was in 2004, when the Gophers defeated Duke, which was seeded No. 1 in its region, 84-74 to advance to the women's Final Four.

Minnesota defeated North Carolina State 60-55 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge last season. Eight ACC teams went on to the women's tournament.
