St. Cloud – Less than five minutes in, the No. 3 Gophers took a 1-0 lead over the St. Cloud State Huskies on the back of a power-play goal. It wasn't the game-winner, but it was a sign of things to come.

The Gophers led from start to finish Saturday en route to a 4-2 victory and a weekend sweep of the Huskies (11-11-3, 7-10-3 WCHA) at Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.

Milica McMillen put the Gophers (22-3, 17-3) on the board 4 minutes, 57 seconds into the first period with her eighth goal of the season. It came on the power play, which went 3-for-5 Saturday after not getting any action Friday. Taylor Williamson scored the lone non-power-play goal.

"It's great to see Taylor Williamson get that goal here today," Gophers coach Brad Frost said. "She's had a lot of chances."

The offense bombarded Huskies goalie Katie Fitzgerald with 38 shots. Gophers goalie Sidney Peters had a much easier day, facing just 12 shots, but her seven-period shutout streak ended in the third.
